Getting to the Chalfonte

The Chalfonte Hotel is located at 301 Howard Street, Cape May, NJ 08204.

• From the Atlantic City Expressway

  Traveling east via the Atlantic City Expressway take Exit 7S (Cape May) to the Garden State Parkway (GSP) South. Take the GSP South to Exit 0.

  Continue straight through the traffic light on to Route 109 South to Cape May crossing the Canal Bridge and then the smaller Marina Bridge. Continue straight on to Lafayette Street. Go one mile and make a left at the first traffic light onto Madison Avenue.

  Go straight through the traffic light at Washington Street (PNC Bank on the corner). Pass the water tower and make a right on Sewell Avenue. Continue three blocks- The Chalfonte Hotel is on the right hand side, on the corner of Sewell Ave and Howard Street. Turning right on Howard Street, there is a fifteen minute spot where you can park while you check in and unload your luggage. • From the Delaware Memorial Bridge

  Follow signs to Route 40 East and continue to Route 55 South.

  Continue on Route 55 S to Route 47/347 South. (Use 347S to avoid local traffic and stop lights)

  Make a left on Route 657 (Courthouse South Dennis Road). Cross over Route 9 and pass Cape Regional Hospital. Follow the signs to make a right on to the Garden State Parkway South. Take the GSP South to Exit 0.

• From the Cape May-Lewes Ferry

  Exiting the Ferry Terminal, make a right onto Route 109 and follow the signs to Cape May. Go straight through six traffic lights and bear right to merge with the traffic coming off the Garden State Parkway. Cross over the Canal Bridge and then the smaller Marina Bridge. Continue straight on to Lafayette Street. Go one mile and make a left at the first traffic light onto Madison Avenue.
